Description

This is a 24-bit/44.1 kHz transcription using high-end analog equipment of a performance by Richard Burnett of Haydn's
piano sonata no. 60 in C (Hob. XVI/50), played on a John Broadwood and Sons fortepiano that was manufactured in 1801.
The instrument is part of the Richard Burnett Collection at Finchcocks, Goudhurst, Kent. 



The recording was orignally released on LP by Amon Ra Records (SAR5) in 1979, and is available on CD together with three
other Haydn sonatas at www.saydisc.com. If you search "Burnett" at that website, you will also turn up Mr.
Burnett playing a number of other instruments in his magnificent collection. That series of releases includes some of
the best recordings of historic keyboard instruments I have heard.
